KHUTBAH IYD'UL FITR MUHAMMAD BIN ABD'IL WAHHB
« on: June 15, 2018, 09:20:52 AM »

The Last Khutbah (Sermon) given by Shaykhul Islm Muhammad bin Abdil Wahhb (Rahimahullh) During Iydul Fitr1

(Seven consecutive) Allhu Akbar (Allh is the Greatest)! Allhu Akbar! Allhu Akbar! Allhu Akbar! Allhu Akbar! Allhu Akbar! Allhu Akbar!

All praise be to Allh, Whom created dam (Alayhis Salm) from clay, and made his progeny from a quintessence of despised fluid.2 Then He Tal divided them with His knowledge into Ashbu Shiml (the people of the left; literally the people of Hell-fire) and Ashbu Yamn (the people of the right; literally the people of Paradise). A division written, so it was written, without that Sadah (happiness; literally being from the people of Paradise) and Shaqwah (sadness; literally being from the people of Hell-fire) are clearly seen addresses. I praise Him Subhnahu. Praised is His Muttaqqn (pious) Awliy (allies).

I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Allh alone, He has no partner, He is the apparent true Malik (King), and I also bear witness that Muhammad -as-Sdiq (the truthful) al-Amn (the trustworthy)- is His slave and His Rasl (messenger). O Allh send salutations upon Muhammad, his l (family), his Ashb (companions), and the Tbin (followers)!

Amm Bad (to proceed): O Ibdullh (slaves of Allh)! Fear Allh Tal, and obey Him, glorify His command and do not disobey Him! I recommend you to have Bughd (hatred) of the gaze, for verily gazing is an arrow from the arrows of Ibls. Allh Tal states in the yah,

Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: and Allh is well acquainted with all that they do. And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (ordinarily) appear thereof (an-Nr 24/31)

Avoid vanity and lowering the garments, for this is Harm (unlawful) by the Nass (textual proof) of the Kitb (Book; Qurn) and the Sunnah. Allh Tal states,

Nor walk on the earth with insolence: for thou canst not rend the earth asunder, nor reach the mountains in height. (al-Isr 17/37)

And in the Hadth,

He who drags his Izr (lower garment) out of pride, Allah would not look toward him
(With similar wording; Bukhr, Hadth no: 3665 & 5784; Muslim, Hadth no: 2085)

Know that Allh Tal commanded you with a command which He began with Himself, so He Tal states,

Allh and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect. (al-Ahzb 33/56)

O Allh, send peace and blessing upon Your slave and Your Rasl Muhammad, the Hshim (from the tribe Ban Hshim), the Arab (Arab), and the faithful Nab! O Allh be pleased with the four Khulaf, the leader Hunaf (pl. of Hanif), Ab Bakr, Umar, Uthmn, Al, and the rest of the Sahbah the Ahlus Sidq wal Awf (People of Truth and Faithfulness), and from the Tbin and the ones who followed them with Ihsn (goodness) and to those who take their path in example, and also from us with Your Afw (forgiveness), Your Karam (honor), and Your Ihsn, O the best of the One who forgives those who transgressed!

O Allh, honor Islm and the Muslimn, and disgrace Shirk and the Mushrikn, support the achievement of the Dn, and make this country and the rest of the countries of the Muslimn safe and satisfying. O Rabb (Lord) of the lamn (the universe)! O Allh, make the Ilm of Jihd steadfast, suppress the Ahlush Shirk wal Raybil Fasd (People of Shirk doubts and corruption), and spread Your Rahmah (mercy) upon these slaves! O the One whom the Duny (worldly life) and khirah (Hereafter) belong to and to Him will be the return!

Servants of Allh,

Allh commands justice, the doing of good, and given to kith and kin, and He forbids all indecent deeds, and evil and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition. Fulfill the Covenant of Allh when ye have entered into it, and break not your oaths after ye have confirmed them; indeed ye have made Allh your surety; for Allh knoweth all that ye do. (an-Nahl 16/90-91)

So remember Allh, al-Adhm (The Supreme Glory) al-Jall (The Mighty) so that He Tal may remember you! Thank Him upon His Nimah (bounty) and that will increase you! Surely, Dhikr (the remembrance) of Allh is greater, and Allh is most knowing of what you are doing.
